In the mood for a little levity and camaraderie? Join us for movie night!

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is a 1990 absurdist tragicomedy based on Tom Stoppard’s 1966 play. Its protagonists are two hapless courtiers from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, caught up in a royal tragedy they barely understand, surrounded by characters who seem to know the plot, while they try to figure out their own roles. Through hilarious wordplay, philosophical banter, and baffling encounters, they struggle with free will, fate, mortality, and the rather inconvenient fact that life does not come with an instruction manual. As they question their identities, puzzle over reality, and attempt to make sense of events beyond their control, existential uncertainty becomes a source of brilliantly absurd comedy with a distinctly humanist flavour. The film stars award-winning actors Sir Gary Oldman, Tim Roth, Iain Glen, and Richard Dreyfuss.
