Her engaging style blends meticulous research with warmth and humour, making even the most challenging topics easy to read, thought-provoking, and enjoyable. In addition to Clearly Written by Boys, she is also the co-author of Why Men Made God which shows how the rise of agriculture, private property, and patriarchy shaped Western civilization and the deities people imagined and worshipped to reflect their changing values. Karis is a longtime Humanist and past president of the Society of Freethinkers (SOFREE). About David David is an atheist leader and activist, historian, and author who has spent many years advocating for civil rights, secular humanism, and counter-apologetics. A renowned speaker, he has lectured and debated at Stanford University, and the University of California, Berkeley. He has shared his expertise and perspectives at international conferences and organizations, including the Center for Inquiry, the American Humanist Association, American Atheists, and BAHACON. His acclaimed books include Jesus: Mything in Action, Playing God, and The Complete Heretic’s Guide to Western Religion series.
