Carl, a former Grateful Dead fan turned born-again believer, thought he had finally found inner peace—until his slick megachurch pastor, Dan Day, accidentally shoots a prominent atheist during a live debate and quickly orchestrates a cover-up and frames the crime on Carl. Suddenly, Carl’s spiritual journey takes a nosedive, and he finds himself entangled in a divine mess of lies, fervent church operatives, hypocrisy, and polyester suits. Along the way, he teams up with a pot-smoking security guard who might be the sanest voice in the movie.

Released in 2011, Salvation Boulevard is a sharp, irreverent satire that depicts the absurdity of religious theatrics, the power trips of institutions, and the perils of blind faith, blending humanist critique with dark, offbeat comedy that makes you laugh and cringe at the same time.
