The World Religions Conference (Replaces our September Waterloo Brunch)
SOFREE has participated in The World Religions Conference for many years. This is our opportunity to communicate with a large number of people who are skeptical about skepticism.
We have a reputation for having high quality speakers who always make people think. This year, Sassan Sanei, a local humanist officiant and a member of the Humanist Canada board of directors, will be our speaker and our principles will be read by Eileen Martel from SOFREE.
The topic for this year’s conference is: Experiencing God in Today’s World
Since our perspective on this topic will be entirely different than all the believers there, Sassan’s speech will be very interesting. If you wish you can just drop in to hear Sassan speak. The program with approximate speaker times will be posted on the World Religions Conference (WRC) website
A map showing the free parking (directly across the ring road from Hagey Hall, University of Waterloo) is also available on the WRC site.
You can also visit our table in the “foyer” to see how we communicate the secular humanist message to believers.
There is no admission charge, parking and lunch are free.
